Good morning,
This past weekend was a rather busy one. I held my YEAR END scrapbooking class.
The ladies completed the CHRISTMAS 2010 layout as well as the A LOOK @ 2010 layout. We had games, lunch and lots of fun.
Was lots of fun !
All the ladies hard at work:
I didn't get too much of my own scrapping done this weekend.. but I did manage to finish a Christmas Card for a swap I am in and a few other projects:

For my Christmas Card I used Scrap Sheets Dear Santa papers.. still had lots of scraps left..

Inside of card:

It is my friends birthday as well.. so used my left over Enmarc Design team papers to create a Birthday card for her. Her name is Elizna and she is know as the {PRINCESS}.. hence the crown and the "E".
Made a matching envelope for the card:
Close up.. used a rubon on for the "Special"

And lastly, it is my sisters birthday on the 1st, so I created a frame for her. She isn't into photos and never takes any! I took this lovely photo of her and hubby at Christmas last year and as they call each other "Pops" and "Popsicle".. I used this on the page.. Hope she likes it.
Layout was inspired by a Rose Krugess layout.Well that was me for the weekend. Hope you enjoyed looking at my projects and I hope to do some more this week..
It is my moms 70th on Thursday and we are having a big party on Saturday. Need to make a full 8x8 album, thank you cards and menu's before then... WOW !!! Wish me luck !

Hi there,

I have been SO behind on all my challenges lately.. it is driving me nuts.. so I decided last night to combine some of my challenges together.

(This or That Scraplift November Challenge #10).

We have to scraplift this layout over at Scrap Friendzy. I just fell in love with the design and how easy it is to do...

This layout was created by Ronda:

I created my below version of layout by using the sketch by Cheri O' Neil at LETS SCRAP:

To scrap a layout using a Lets Scrap sketch but with the following "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something blue.."

Something Old: I used Old Calendar sheets that I cut up for January to December
Something New: I used my new PRIMA papers (that I won @ Lets Scrap earlier this year)
Something Borrowed: I "borrowed" the above sketch layout from Rhonda
Something Blue: I am "Blue" as the year is coming to an end and this layout shows that..LOL

My YEAR IN REVIEW 2010 Layout:

Close ups of the layout:

The calendar Months as I cut them out of an old 2010 calendar:

And finally:

CHALLENGE 3: This is my own personal Challenge.. LOL ...
I am having my annual Christmas Dinner with my TUESDAY night SCRAPCLUB ladies... and I always do a "YEAR IN REVIEW" layout with them .... I haven't had much time to design, and this Layout just fit the bill perfectly.. so I will be teaching this on Tuesday the 7th as well.

So... 3 birds, 1 stone.. (no real birds were harmed in the making of this layout...) ROFL !!!

The third Wednesday of every Month, Lets Scrap post a "Card" Sketch to complete. I am by no means a Card Maker and really struggle with these..

This weeks sketch was a quilt to inspire you... very unusual and it took me right out of my comfort zone:
I still had papers left over from my Christmas Layout that I created recently and managed to do a quick card using my left over bits:

I always decorate the inside of my cards too.. just finishes it off...

Phew... really not much scrapping happening this week.. not sure why.. think I am slowing down as the year comes to an end..
Thanks for looking !

Good morning,

This is last weeks Sketch Challenge designed by Cheri O'Neill at LETS SCRAP.

I have lots of photos of Neville and the boys playing and climbing on the rocks in East London. There is this stunning Big Rock on the beach and they Love climbing it !!

Close up Left:

Close Up right:

I used thickers for the title and twine for the tops of my banners.

Whenever we go to the beach we pick up shells for our collection.. the beach is FULL of shells (both small and HUGE!!)... I used these small shells for my layout.

I picked up an awesome flat black pebble on the beach and it worked perfectly for my EXTRA journalling..

Thanks for looking !

On Saturday morning, my son Brenton and his 2 cousins took part of the TV Game Show on K-TV on MNET.

PS: I took these photos at home from my TV, as I had to teach... hence the bad quality ... but at least I captured the moment...

The kids arrived at 7am and the show ran from 8am to 10am. They were put into 2 teams .
He is in the blue top with the Yellow bandana.

The kids took part in various challenges (Yellow team vs the Green team), inbetween all the cartoons on the morning show.. was so cute to watch.

The end score was a TIE and they all won a goody bag with K-TV products.. was really neat.
They ended off the show with a local up and coming RNB singer and the kids all danced with her. Brenton loves doing his ROBOT dance (check him out !!) and the camera loved him.. LOL!

Hi there,

As you know I have been selected to be on the ENMARC design team from Nov to Jan. I am so excited and received my first Kit in the post on Friday.. I immediately set to work.

In our kit we got:
  • Cosmo Cricket papers
  • ENMARC Wild grape dazzle spray
  • VERSAMARK inks (pink and purple)
  • ENMARC chipboard cutouts (butterflies, flowers, swirls and words)

For my first layout I decided to do a GIRL layout and used the Spray to spray the title and the background.. I used a sketch by Cheri O' Neill at Lets Scrap for this layout.

I inked all the elements with the inks (they absorbed the colors beautifully) and then I cut lots of circles from the papers and sewed my butterflies onto the layout.

I finished the layout with ENMARC flowers and a button...

Close ups:

The title was spritzed:

For the second layout I used a sketch by KRISTINE which was posted as part of the October Sketch Fest at Scrap Friendzy.
Decided to do a BOY layout to show how these colors work well with both boys and girls..

I cut up some of the chipboard elements (after I inked them) and used them all over the layout.

I used strip journalling to finish off the layout.

My ENMARC flower clusters... and leaves..

Thanks Yvette and Cois.. this pack was really fun to work with.. Can't wait to start on Pack #2 ~!
