Lets Scrap Sketch: 7-31-13: AWESOME

The sketch has been revealed today at Lets Scrap.

Using lots of strips with space for a few photos, It is a fun sketch to play with:

This week I received a bottle of Texture paste from a friend, so decided to have a go at distressing my layout and playing with the Texture Paste.

These are my favorite photos of Brenton my youngest, and these Simple Stories papers just worked so well !

I mixed the Texture paste with brown paint and then used a Hexagon Stencil that I had to apply to the corners.

The edges of the layout were randomly punched out and the layout was stamped, inked, distressed and all over texturised.

The new sketch is up at Lets Scrap this week.. Loved it and had so much fun with this one..
Really enjoyed playing with two tones of papers..

I created mine using my huge stash of left over Christmas ranges that I have in a box.  Ended up using everything from Kaiser to Bo Bunny.

Photos are of an old photo shoot we done in 2011..

Lets Scrap: Challenge 166

I just loved the Design Team "FRAME IT" challenge over at Lets Scrap this week.

Karen asked us to create a layout using a Frame, Tags, Ribbon and Clustering..

Check out challenge details HERE.

I have this photo of my two boys from when they were very tiny.  Neville had just been to Germany and brought them back a cute T-Shirt each.  They were busy posing for us with their new shirts.  This has to be my all time favourite photo of my boys EVER !!

I used MME Craft papers and elements for this layout and Scrap Collections diecuts.

I used Maya road fabric tags and added rickrack for my ribbon.  The clustering was made with various elements from the MME pack.
I finished off the layout with Scrap Collections diecuts.
