SKETCH INSPIRATIONS LAYOUT

Morning,

This is this weeks sketch over at : http://sketchinspiration.ning.com/

They have some cool papers up for grabs this week if you do the Sketch.

As I am mad about Halloween this month, I desperately needs these papers, so decide to do my layout in Halloween style:

Photos taken recently at our Halloween Party we went to. I couldn't find anything Halloween AGAIN so hand drew and cut this cute house and fence. Couldn't find a template.. man things are scarce here in South Africa.. LOL.

Use natural papers for the clouds, just tore it up.

Used Thickers for the title.. they are almost finished.. oh dear.. and you cannot find them here... have to find more.. I love them !!
My son went to a "I'll Never be seen dead in this again" costume party on Saturday. He didn't want to get dressed, but on the way out the door, his 2 cousins got hold of him and dressed him up like a girl..

So my Klaven became Klaylina.. LOL!

Can't believe he fits into Natalies clothes... scary !

Thanks girls ! He was the hit of the party !
Have a good week and thanks for looking !
Love Mich

Only running till tonight, so get there quickly.

More Layouts completed

I managed to finish 2 more layouts for the Scrap-Friendzy Oct Sketch Fest.

Bonus Sketch #2 was created by Kristine:
I love this range of papers by Bo Bunny, their mammarazzi range.. It just went perfect with my photo.

Close ups. Used Tim Holtz negative strips as well.

Prima alpha letters for the title.. these are nice as they are material.

Second sketch was #9: By Becky Fleck.
This was a harder one to do... and the layout kinda took a life of its own.. pardon the pun ! LOL.. I ripped it apart a few times before I was happy !
Layout on my nephew Jordan, my son Brenton and my other nephew Dylan.. such little monsters when they get together. Love this range of papers by Sassafrass.. too cute !~

Close ups of the monsters:

Dont' you love this BAT !! he is awesome ! LOL

Ran out of the Letter "T", so I inverted my "F" and make Ts out of them.. backwards, but that is in line with my layout so it kinda worked.. LOL

Thanks for looking.

Just look at this awesome banner.. how awesome is that !! All these elements come in a variety of the Christmas colors.

Close up:
I had so many things to play with that I created this double layout too. :

Close up left: Check out this really cute Father Christmas and the little boy hanging up a stocking.. Just LOVE this !

Close up Right: (even my dog had to get in on the action...LOL)

Close up shots: (their frames are really easy to use)

What I really love about this cutout Xmas range is that it comes with traditional NATIVITY cutouts of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Shepards, Angels, etc. So beautiful. Perfect for those photos of your kids taking part in the annual Christmas Pageant at School or Sunday School.

CHALLENGE UPDATES

Hi there,

Caught up with a few of the Sketch Challenges running this week:

This is Sketch #6 (created by Jean) at Scrap-Friendzy October Sketch Fest challenge:
I created my layout using photos from our recent trip to Mpumhalanga... my family is very musical and they find any excuse to haul out the guitars and play. I just sit and listen.. I am tone deaf ! LOL

Close ups of the layout:

Found this cute fire in one of my Camping sticker packs.. worked so well ! LOL

Second sketch for Sketch Friendzy challenges was their Sketch # 8 (created by Becky Fleck (www.pagemaps.com)). Love her sketches:

I used old photos that I had laying around of Klaven and Johndray (aka KC and JD). The SK8ing buddies:

Close ups: (cut the tattoo on my Robo Craft)... so hard to find skateboarding paper and embellishments.. ridiculous !

Finally found a use for these Moonsgummy letters.. have had them for years !

The last sketch I managed to finish last night was this weeks challenge on Lets Scrap (card sketch by Kimmy).

As it is my sister in laws baby shower this weekend, thought I might as well make her a card.. LOL.. Found a Paper Doll sticker sheet in my stash that you dress up... these were so cute.. Had lots of fun !

Inside of card...

Cool.. that is me for the day... thanks for looking !

LETS SCRAP WEEKLY SKETCH

The sketch over at Lets Scrap (http://letsscrap.ning.com/) this week was really a pretty one (not that they aren't all PRETTY!) Cheri done a great job and you can fit lots of photos on.

I didn't find any time to sit and do a page, so decided to go digital.

This layout is of our family outing last Saturday... LOL:

Brenton has started swimming lessons and loves them. Look at him go. Nev went along to take the photos.

DEBBIE'S 40th HALLOWEEN PARTY

My very good friend Debbie decided to go and turn 40 recently. In honor of her birthday, and being so close to Halloween, she decided to invite us all to a HALLOWEEN MAZE party.

Our "gory" birthday girl at her best...
We all had to meet at the Honeydew A-Maize-ing Mazes: http://www.honeydewmazes.co.za/ to do a MIDNIGHT maze. Everyone had to get dressed in Halloween attire. Was stunning !

This is the maze.. NOT easy to do in the dark ! Wow.. even with torches. You were handed clipboards and had to navigate through the maze to the 4 different "ELEMENTAL" gardens to find clues, etc.

We went as a mis-match of variour characters..
Klaven went as a SCARY CLOWN and I decided to do the CRUELLA DA VILLE "evil" look:

Brenton went as FRANKENSTEIN.. was so cute!
Neville went as a "LIVING DEAD HITMAN".. check out the bullet wound !
Don't we make a stunning couple.. LOL
Our latest family PORTRAIT.. giving the Adams Family a run for their money !

It was really nice as EVERYONE dressed up. We had monsters, brides, vampires, the Mask, etc. Lots of fun and we really made a macarbe group!
After the group photo session it was time to hit the maze.. took us about 2 hours.. wow, my feet were killing me ! Luckily we didn't come last.. LOL

Then we headed over to Debbie's house for a party.. check out the cute decor ! Nicki really outdone herself !

Debbie really struggled to blow out those candles.. LOL.. must be her age catching up with her (or could have been the knife through her neck !)

Thanks Deb's for a great party.. everyone had a blast !
Hugs, Mich
