Tim Holtz @ Scrapbook Expo 2011

I was so excited to attend the Scrapbook Expo 2011 held this weekend. My scrapbooking Muse / Hero / Guru was there.. the master of grunge.. TIM HOLTZ. The day started off REALLY early (seeing as I only got to bed around 2am).. Margaret came to fetch me around 5h30 together with Elanie and Salome.. we drove through to Emperors.. Driving in such a mean machine made it so worthwhile getting up so early.. what a cool start to the day ... Margaret, Salome and myself getting ready to go scrapping ! After early registration, us 6 scrap-a-holics found our seats (managed to pre-book seats RIGHT in the front - how cool.. helps to be organised) and had a ball going through our Goodie Bags.. Check all these girls ! We were Group B.. Group A was even bigger ! Our morning classes were taught by Margie Romney-Aslett who went all girly on us and showed us how to make a cute banner booklet on a stick and a double page. The colors were all soft and pink. Really cute. (Margie Romney-Aslette took this cool photo and put it on her BLOG)

HRH Tim Holtz... Oh wow !! He is just the Coolest, Sweetest, Bestest (is there such a word) guy ever ! Not only he is super talented but he is such an awesome guy too ! I have been to many classes in my lifetime of scrapping, but this was by far the best ! He is an awesome teacher and we learned so much. All we had to bring was our scissors. Everything else was supplied for the class and best of all, we got to take it all home (even the glues and ink pads).. YIPEE!!!! Tim's Project that we had to create: Us girls furiously scrapping up a storm. Tim really works fast, but we amazingly managed to keep up and I think everyone ended up going home with the Journal half finished !

After the class, Tim handed out TONS of prizes.. everyone (bar 1) at our table managed to snag a prize during the day. I won the most awesome Tim Holtz Alterations Die cuts ! I was ecstatic.. although I wanted the Vagabond machine... (maybe next time..LOL)

Sweet and Nutty M snuggling up to Tim.. This is my finished project.. just need to add my photos and journalling. Doing mine on my trip to Australia coming up.. who knows where life may lead us.. Tim also brought some other projects that he created for CHA recently. How cool is this board. Thanks again Glenda for arranging another amazing Scrapbooking Expo . They get better every time you host one. Am really going to miss them when I move !

Phew.. got home after 7h30 that night.. was exhausted but ecstatic.. Still on a buzz..

Loved every moment ! Thanks again to Nutty M (who suffered a really bad hangover to be with us), Megaree (who only scraps once a year) and 3 of my favorite scrappers Margie, Salome and Elanie, for joining me and making this such a cool day !
