I was very excited to find out that my layout MOMENTS THAT TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY has been selected by Lets Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/ for the first week of January 2011.
This is how I decorated my book inside and on the flaps that fold inwards.
They recently ran a challenge to submit one of your favorite layouts. If you were selected Cheri would then create a sketch of the layout and all the ladies would have a chance to use the sketch to create their own pages and win a prize.
I was very happy to hear that I was selected for the first week of January 2011 :
Here is my layout:
Cheri created this amazing sketch with the layout and all the layouts are posted on the Lets Scrap site.
I created a mini booklet on my layout for extra photos :
Here is a mini tutorial to create this MAZE BOOKLET that opens up and up and up and up some more... LOL
MAZE BOOKLET TUTORIAL
1. Using Full piece of Cardstock. make sure you have a 30.5cm square
2. Score 10cm all around the edges. I start at top and score 10cm from top THEN TURN PAGE around and score again 10cm from top, THEN TURN PAGE around and score again at 10cm from top and TURN PAGE again and do final score from top. This makes sure that you have the score lines even from the edges.
3. Use the attached picture and Score again as per diagram 2
4. Cut out the dark bits as per diagram 3 - You will end up looking like a swastika.. fold all the scored lines nice and flat that you are left with.
5. All the folds will then fold into themselves. Until you have one small booklet. They will fold into each other and don't worry the booklet DOES NOT fold closed perfectly. You do have a piece shorter on the cover.
6. Ink front and back of the entire booklet7. Decorate the booklet with photos and extra papers, stickers, etc..I use this often on my layouts.
This is how I decorated my book inside and on the flaps that fold inwards.
Tie the book closed with ribbon.
Hope this helps you make your own mini MAZE booklets.. these are really fun to give as gifts as well.
Hugs, Mich
