On the day I didn't have any matching red Rick Rack with me, so using Cardstock, I decided to create my own:
TUTORIAL TO CREATE YOUR OWN RICK RACK FROM CARDSTOCK
Step 1: Using scallop scissors (you can use a border punch for this as well), cut your strip of paper along one edge
Step 2: Turn your paper around to cut from the other side now, and cut again but line it up so that you cut about 2-3mm away from the previous scallop. Line it us so that your circle is in the middle of the inverted circle. This will give you the pattern.
Step 3: Voila.. instant Rick Rack to use on your pages and the best part.. the color matches perfectly EVERY TIME !
Hope that inspired you to go and make more interesting goodies with your cardstock !
Thanks for looking
Hugs, Mich
Love that fabulous photo out of the car window and the layout is wonderful, but my fave...that Rick Rack tutorial! I'm so trying that! So often I've been bummed out for not having the right color Rick Rack on hand! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteFantastic layout Mich. You always have such cool tutorials for us to try Mich, I love this one. Now if I can remember where I stash my decorative scissors.
