Lets Scrap Sketch: 8-28-13: Dog Tyred

The latest sketch at Lets Scrap is a fun double layout with space for many photos. 

 I had these photos of my dog Jack and they worked perfectly.

He loves his tyre and plays for hours with it until he is so exhausted he cannot breathe.

Lets Scrap Sketch 8-7-13: Being a (bride) is hard work..

This weeks sketch has been loaded at LETS SCRAP..

I decided to create a single layout of these photos I took of my niece on her wedding day.. this was taken directly after the wedding.. Love this photo.  This is the kind of photo no one ever prints out.. but it just sums up the whole event.. Very stressful thing getting married !  LOL

 

CHECK (MY) MATE.. Class done with Glenda Viljoen

I was very lucky today to attend the most fantastic class with Glenda Viljoen at RS&E. 
Glenda is a fantastic teacher and we always walk away having learnt something new! 

Today we go to play with Carta Bella WELL PLAYED range of papers.. the texture and thickness of these papers is amazing and makes it really easy to work with !

We knotted ribbon and tied across the top of the layout for some dimension:

Cutting elements out of the pattern paper.. Loved this effect.. Looks like poker chips:

and my favorite was using Daubbers and Distress Ink on Grunge board to create these amazing textured Chess Pieces:
