CHECK (MY) MATE.. Class done with Glenda Viljoen

I was very lucky today to attend the most fantastic class with Glenda Viljoen at RS&E. 
Glenda is a fantastic teacher and we always walk away having learnt something new! 

Today we go to play with Carta Bella WELL PLAYED range of papers.. the texture and thickness of these papers is amazing and makes it really easy to work with !

We knotted ribbon and tied across the top of the layout for some dimension:

Cutting elements out of the pattern paper.. Loved this effect.. Looks like poker chips:

and my favorite was using Daubbers and Distress Ink on Grunge board to create these amazing textured Chess Pieces:
