Lets Scrap NSD#3 - Edge Punch Fun Challenge and NSD#4 - 3D Challenge

Challenge Number 3 at Lets Scrap is hosted by Hanne.   It is to use Edge Punches on your layout.. as many as you want.

Sketch used:

I created this fun Australian Day layout using punched borders along the sides and bottom.

My layout includes a flap on left for more photos.

The 4th challenge at Lets Scrap for NSD was hosted by Lori .. we had to apply 3D element on our layout.  As most of my layouts do use 3D elements, this was an easy one to do..

Sketch used:

My layout. -  Klaven went Hang gliding with his friend for his 16th birthday. My brother is a pilot and took them up. They loved it.  Had fun with this range of papers.

Lets Scrap NSD#2 - Crocheted Cuteness

NSD Challenge #2 at Lets Scrap was hosted by Erica.  We had to use Crochet items on our layout using a Lets Scrap Sketch.

As I have two left thumbs when it comes to anything knitting or crochet related, I used shop bought crochet flowers on my layout.

I used the left side of this sketch for my layout:

Layout created using photos of a recent Lets Scrap get together with some of the other DT ladies Roulien and Charlotte.

Lets Scrap NSD#1 - 2014 Mixed Media Madness

Val hosted this Lets Scrap challenge and asked us to create a layout using all types of Mixed Media.

I have just started playing with Mixed Media and having attended 2 of Tim Holtz's classes, I thought this would be so much fun to finally put the techniques to use.  Love the end result.

Sketch used:

As I love Tim Holtz and was using all his products, I thought it fitting to use the photos of our Tim Holtz Day this year..

I first applied Gesso over the background, spritzed, sprayed and then distressed in different colors to get the background.  Added some stamped images and then used Tim Holtz Stencils on the layout.  I added some splats of Distress Stain to give some more texture and then added photos and extras to finish it off.

NSD Challenges at Let's Scrap 2014

The new team was selected for Lets Scrap and I was luck enough to be asked again to join as a DT member.

Here is the sketch we had to create with and my entry:

My layout created about my kids and their fantastic grandparents:

I love it there, we have so much fun and the ladies are a great group.  There is a new sketch up every week with Challenges, Tutorials, Forums, etc.  (and you can win prizes too!)..

This month kicked off with NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) which we make into National Scrapbooking Month.   Each DT has been asked to do a challenge and there is a LOAD to show how much scrapping you managed to get done this month.  I have reached 60 pages / projects so far this month.. phew.. now where to put them all !

For the DT challenges, I have managed to finished all (bar 1) of the challenges so far.

My entries for NSD Challenge 1 - 4+1 bonus sketch challenge.

LETS SCRAP CHALLENGE 183 - Mad Hatters

The challenge over at Lets Scrap is to do a layout with a Lets Scrap sketch using funny photos..

I decided to use this sketch:

This challenge was also just up my alley..   My boys are always grabbing the camera and taking self portraits and doing weird things.. so I was guaranteed of having some great pics.. LOL.

Love how these particular photos came out .. didn't even know they took them Until I started downloading photos the other day ! LOL...

Layout created using papers from the MAD HATTER collection by Marion Smith.

SUPREME SCRAP CHALLENGE ROUND 4

Well, thank you so much to everyone who voted, I made it into Round 4 of the Supreme Scrap Challenge for Layouts.  Unfortunately my card didn't make it..

For ROUND 4 we have to create Hidden Elements on our layout.. Right up my alley.. Loved this challenge.
However, we are not allowed to use inks, sprays, mists, etc, etc.. This was hard.  I did manage to do it though.. Love how my layout came out.. Holding thumbs I get through !
Layout uses: Save the Date collection by Teresa Collins. Photos of my friends wedding that we attended last weekend.
