FUN IN EAST LONDON

I flew with the boys to East London this weekend again to spend the weekend with Neville. I just love this little coastal town so much.. it is so quiet and peaceful. Perfect place to unwind and relax...

Just some pics of our weekend.

Visiting at our favorite beach and pub (Buckaneers)

We took a drive out to Kai Beach and to Morgans Bay.. very quant towns.. 4 hours and we didn't find a place to eat.. had to turn around and to to Buckaneers for lunch.. We did see dolphins though ! LOL

The boys on the beach.. they just LOVE this way of life and would move down here in a flash !

There was the cutest dog swimming in the Sea.. he was biting the waves and came out to play with Neville and the boys.. I wanted to take him home !

My boys on the way home... we saw the most beautiful sunset on the way back.. Was stunning.. the photos didn't do it justice...

LETS SCRAP SKETCH CHALLENGE

This week's sketch challenge at Lets Scrap was using the following cool sketch by Cheri O' Neill.

You would include a cute pocket with a CD of extra photos you have taken.


I didn't have a CD, but made mine into a mini booklet for more photos inside.

Used the new range of PETAL PUSHERS papers by BO BUNNY. I just LOVE Bo Bunny !

ENMARC DESIGN TEAM POSITION

I am so excited, have just found out that I have been selected to be on the ENMARC design team from November to January next year. http://www.enmarc.co.za/

Our First Design Team
It was a day to remember. Hours of debate, ching-chong-cha’s, looking at designs, rechecking each entry, page after page… some cat fights, some hair pulling, a few broken nails, and some sadness because we could only choose 5 people to be on our design team for November 2010 - January 2011.

Congrats to the following scrappers (in alphabetical order):
Cathy Von Vollenstee, Mariaan Fouché, Michelle Van Wyk, Sandra Batis and Venessia Ramsay.
We will upload some of their work shortly.

We decided to make use of a "wild card scrapper" as part of our team. Every month we select a sixth scrapper from all the entries and give her the opportunity to scrap some different goodies/layouts.

The "wild card scrapper" for November 2010 is: Jenny Hayes.

We have so much talent out there and we are very excited and are looking forward to work with our team of very talented ladies !!! Congratulations to all who participated - YOU'RE WORK IS AWESOME!!

Wow... that a wonderful surprise... I cannot wait to get started. The other ladies are all super talented too and I'm sure that Enmarc are going to love everyone's creations. They have the most amazing products to play with ... woo hoo

LAYOUTS COMPLETED

She is really a little ball of energy and so funny ! Her ideas are all grundy and distressed... just up my alley...

I used my Halloween Photos to finish it off...

Close ups of layout: Used Thickers for my title. We had to finish off a lot on our own. The kits didn't contain a lot of stuff

We used torn Dictionary paper for the background and the gate and doorway were cutouts:

Received white flowers which we had to paint RED using the new Luminart range of paints

I added extra embellishments as it looked a bit unfinished to my "busy" brain:

Nice technique was to use old stickers and apply very fine glitter to the back of them (so it sticks on the sticky side).. then you just adhere it to your page.. very clever (see touch of red strip along bottom of layout covered in red glitter).

This was the cute Bazzil Make 'n take.. loved all the bling:

ACTION PACKED !

Morning,

Wow, what a weekend ! I didn't get any time this weekend to scrap.. !


On Saturday from 9-5, Nutty {M} and me Sweet {M} hosted our 1st M&M Scrap & Pamper Spa day at Chicama Lodge.


What an awesome event ! We started the day with fruit salad and muffins and went straight into scrapping a double layout, then we had sandwiches and completed a single layout. The girls then had a stunning lunch and after that everyone was treated to 2 treatments. Pure heaven. After that was wine and cheese ! Scrapping and Pampering... what more could any girl ask for.


The venue was PERFECT, the food SUPERB and the company DIVINE !

When we arrived home, it was CURRIE CUP RUGBY FINAL time. Sharks vs the Western Province.



My husband is a HUGE Sharks fan, and wore his colors proud and flew the flag. The Sharks won 30-10 ! Wow.. what a game ! Well done Sharks ! Needless to say hubby was ecstatic...





Then it was time to dress and attend the most awesome Halloween Party. My niece Sheree held it at her house and spent weeks making the decorations. People only left at 10am the NEXT day ! LOL

We even had the biggest "FAN" of the Sharks there (besides my hubby).. LOL ! (check that smile!)

And as if that wasn't enough, on Sunday we had my nephews birthday party too.. Wow, need a week to recover !
