LET'S SCRAP SKETCH 3-9-11

Hi there,

This is the sketch this week over at LETS SCRAP: Created by Cheri o'Neill

I decided to scrap these photos for a friend. They are of her and her buddies at a Soccer Pub .. this was during the 2010 Soccer World Cup and everyone and their dog was obsessed with anything soccer for 3 months !

There were tons of embellishments around at the time too to play with.. hence the very COLOURFUL layout..

Close up of the Left page... note my Hot FLAMES.. LOL

Close up of Right Page.. loved all the soccer balls.
There was a lot of extra stuff, so I created a booklet under the photos to add it all.

Close up's of layout:

Nice price up for grabs again at Lets Scrap this week, so don't delay.. hop on over and do the sketch and stand in line to win some awesome scrapping goodies.

WEEKEND SCRAPPING PROJECTS

Good Morning,

This weekend I managed to get some projects done that I have been meaning to do for ages.

This was a projectI had to do for my sister in law. Photos of are of my niece Angelica during a dress up party. The photos were so cute and I decided to used this nice sketch by Cheri O'Neill at Lets Scrap for the layout:

After I finished the layout, I put it in a double frame and gave it to her as a gift. She isn't a scrapper so I couldn't just give her the pages..

Close up left and right:

Further closeups of the layout:

I used lots of left over Bo Bunny paper I had.. they worked well.

My second project this weekend was a Memory Frame I had to make for a friend's mom at work. This is her Ouma and Oupa.. all their old stuff.. I like how it came out.

It took me over 3 hours to crackle the frame.. Grr... but the end result was pretty.

Close up's of the inside:
All "Ouma's" goodies:
All "Oupa's" goodies:
The middle was for both of them, with the original wedding certificate from 1940 something !

This old dress was made by "Ouma" mom when she was a baby.. so really old and fragile.

I really hope that they like the projects. Always hard to scrap for someone else, you never know what they like.

Have a great week and thanks for looking !

LET'S SCRAP - CHALLENGE 87

Good Morning,

This week, the Design Team Challenge at Let's Scrap is being hosted by ME ! Yay.

I have decided to challenge you all to a bit of a color challenge. Check out all the details here:
http://letsscrap.ning.com/forum/topics/challenge-87

Remember to post your layouts to the correct Gallery by no later than next Thursday midnight to stand in line to win a cool Prize.

I created my example by using paint chips as a border on my page. The title uses the word colour and BLUES..

This is my baby.. Sir Archibald the 1st.. he is so PUGLY !! LOL..

He has since lost an eye and is even PUGLIER...

Close up of the paint chips used: I used a variety of stickers for my title:
I created a flower using scraps of left over paper :

LETS SCRAP WEEKLY CHALLENGE

This week’s challenge over at LET's SCRAP by Ava Gavloski is to use a transparency on your layout/project.

Extract from Lets Scrap: My personal favorite is to customize my titles on layouts.
Please join me in trying this technique this week and your name will be entered for a small RAK draw from my stash.
I challenge you to go beyond the basic printing onto a transparency. I will show you the step’s to add acrylic paint to your title to stretch your skills. If you do not have the option to purchase transparency, be creative and print onto CS or another type of material. Just paint something interesting before you print over top of it. Be creative.
Check out the link HERE for more information on the challenge and where to post your layout.

I went through my book of Lets Scrap sketches and found this cute one that Cheri created:

This is my layout that I created using, once again. all my old stash and bits and pieces I had lying around. The arrows were part of my Bo Bunny prize I won last year at Scrapbooking @ Aquilla scrap day. I love them!

I don't have a computer at the moment so had to stamp my title and then used paint behind it. Adhered it with brads to my layout:

Added some hand journalling for that personal touch. Also painted on the back of the acetate and cut out photo corners for my photo. Matted it ontop of more pattern and added a brad:Hope you get time to take part in the challenge. It ends tonight.

I will be posting a color challenge on the site tomorrow. Watch this space !

LETS SCRAP SKETCH 3-2-11

Hi there,

This weeks sketch at LETS SCRAP is really pretty.. and it includes my favorite element (a banner! ) LOL!

My son was in Gr. 0 3 years ago and they took these really cute photos. I haven't known what to do with them, but they just seemed to work really well with this sketch.

I once again raided my stash of paper and used only old papers and scraps for this layout. I had these really pretty Chipboard Birdies by RM Designs and inked them black to match my layout (they were green).

Close up of right side:

Some close ups of layout:

The birds matched the birdy in the photo so well..

I just had so much fun with this banner.. had some old leather strips and they worked well with the theme.

Also got my new FISKARS punch which I used on the sides. Love it ! The rubon was out of a tin of rubons that I got as a gift. They are really pretty !

I cut up the bird elements to match my page.

Remember to enter the sketch challenge this week at LETS SCRAP and post your layout there to win some cool prizes from SCRAP FRIENDZY this week. (you have until the 8th of March to load your layout)

LET'S SCRAP SKETCH 2-23-11

Morning,

The sketch @ Lets Scrap, for the last week of February was this one, created by Cheri:

I decided to dig deep into my stash and use my old photos and old left over paper that I had lying around. Only Cardstock was hurt in the making of this layout (LOL)

Close up of Left and right pages:
I won some cool Blog Candy last month at Lala's world and received these fun ABC stickers which I used for my title:

I am just crazy about banners at the moment..

Close up views of the layout. Paper is by October Afternoon and was left over from the Scrapbook Expo held at Emperors last year:

Even added the obligatory hand journaling on the layout:

Thanks for looking,
