SCRAP FRIENDZY SKETCH LAYOUTS

Good morning,

I have signed up again for another fun month at Scrap-Friendzy (http://www.scrap-friendzy.com/)

Luckily this month the challenges are a lot slower, not as mad as Scrap U was.. phew !

October is a {FALL} SKETCH FEST. You earn points for all the layouts you complete.

The first BONUS SKETCH #1 this month was created by Carol:

I am trying to scrap all my older photos.. this is my son Brenton at Ngwenya Glass earlier this year. He decided to try his hand at Candle Making.. used left over Bo Bunny paper that I had.

Close up. Have had a bag of Teal Buttons for about 6 months now, and finally got a chance to use them all up ! The first Official Sketch # 1 for the Sketch Fest was created by Kristine:

I dedicated this layout to 2 of my wonderful sisters, Vanessa and Claudia. They are so special and I just loved this photo of them that I took 2008 Christmas.

I used left over Prima papers and flowers from the Convention too... making good use of all my scraps at the moment.. LOL

Used a paper wetting and squashing technique on this layout.. nice and different ... My first attempt, still have to work on it a bit.

Sketch # 2 was also created by Kristine.

I really tried to follow the sketch as much as possible, but had to move my embellishment cluster down a bit to hide the "family jewels" and also had to include Klaven's name.

Used left over Sassafras embellishments as well from the Convention as well as Fancy Pants papers.

Love these flowers from Sassafras, they are so pretty.

Sketch # 3 has already been posted too, but I ran out of time last night.. will have to do that tonight.. LOL

A close friend is having a birthday tomorrow so also had to quickly make a birthday card for her as well. This was just a quick one.. hope she likes it:

New Scrap Sheets Papers & Diecuts

The SCRAP SHEETS design team (Lorna and Debbie @ www.scrapsheets.co.za ) have come up with the most amazing range of HERITAGE papers called "FLORENCE". RM Craft Design have designed an entire new range of HOME diecuts.. They consist of highquality mount board, precision cut ! I just LOVE this new range of diecuts...

As a Creative Team member, I was very lucky to get to play with all of them.

This is my contribution using FLORENCE and some of the new diecuts:

The new Florence range also has a sheet of ABC/123's that you can cut up to use for Titles on your Page.. really nice addition to the range.

Right hand side of layout. This house is too cute and you just pop your photos behind.

Sketch Inspiration Challenge

This weeks sketch at www.sketchinspiration.ning.com is awesome. Just had to try and do this. Had the perfect photos in mind and used the stunning Wedding Paper I won from LetsScrap to do the layout.

I created the layout with photos of my cousins little girl Kayleigh. We were at a wedding and she was the flower girl. She was looking out over the mountains and jumped off the one rock. I just loved how these photos came out.

I incorporated the modge/paint on newspaper technique to do my pleated frame and flowers that I learnt on the SCRAP U challenges:


Love doing this pleated paper effect.. Especially with the flowers.. so easy to do !

Received these awesome bling swirls from Betty.. they worked perfect on this page ! (thanks Betty).

Title was created with Rub ons and left over stickers from the Scrapbooking Convention.

Have just loaded the layout to the Site, the girls have created the most beautiful creations with the sketch... I must say I am so impressed. Check out the other layouts here:

I WON

I posted a few weeks ago on a challenge that I done for Sketches4you . The sketch was designed by Cherie from Sassy Little Sketches...

I am so excited, Cherie and her fellow judge looked at all the layouts and I was one of the two winners ! Wow.. that is so cool !
